Programming Competition Winter 2016

Team 8-Bit Pineapple competed in our third PSCSTA programming competition on December 10. It was our lowest place, but best result, yet.

Last school year, we won the novice division at the spring competition. With that challenge out of the way, we decided to move up to the advanced-level competition this year. We placed 6th with a 570 of 780. The score is nothing to sneeze at, but a solid 6th out of the 40 advanced competitors and 120+ teams overall is impressive for our first year in advanced.

Don't believe me? Check out our photo on the school district's Facebook. That's an honor in itself.

We had some fun geekily explaining a dead marker too. We finished the practice problem in a matter of minutes, leaving us with almost an hour of free time. What can I say?
